The Di Tella Finance Club welcomed Diego Fernández, CEO of A3 Mercados, to UTDT for a talk on the past, present, and future of Argentina's commodity and derivatives markets, co-hosted with the Agro UTDT club. The conversation got into how the country's organized markets serve agribusiness: how soybean, corn, and wheat futures and options actually work, and how the farm sector and the capital markets feed into each other — historically and today. It was a first-hand read on how local ag-derivatives markets are built and traded, straight from one of the people running them.
