The club hosted Matías Romero (Senior Vice President) and Ramiro San Román (Vice President) from EY-Parthenon's Latin America investment banking team for a session on dealmaking in natural resources. They broke down how Oil & Gas and Mining projects get structured and financed, looking at both industries through an investment banking, M&A, and capital markets lens. The talk also covered how natural-resource assets are valued, the financing options on the table, and the advisor's role across a project's life cycle. For students, it was a practical look at how IB works in capital-intensive industries — tying valuation and financing theory to real energy and mining deals.
